We're busy as usually here. I have a new feature to announce as well as a few updates on current features and what's in store for the profile system.
New Project Brainstorming Page:
When you have a chance check out the new brainstorming tool under the 'Projects' tab. Members can now submit project ideas and allow others to comment on them and participate in idea discussions. Users can vote up and down on ideas. This tool compliments our project management software because top rated projects can go to production and an assembled team can work on implementation of the project utilizing the project management tools. Of course members can use the Project Management System without going through the brainstorming process first, so if you have a project that you need help on feel free to submit a ticket in the project management system. For those who just want to suggest ideas or get some feedback then the brainstorming tool is for you!
The goals and possibilities of the brainstorming tool:
Picture an active patriot community that is constantly brainstorming and suggesting project ideas. With a voting system, users can vote up the best projects. When a certain idea gets 1,000 up votes for example, it gets picked to go into production. The top projects can then get a featured donations spot on the projects page where money can be collected if funds are needed. Top projects can then go into the Project Management System where a team of volunteers can easily be organized to implement the project. All this can be done utilizing volunteers and donations.
A seamless flow: brainstorming > evaluation > funds collection > implementation.
Project Management Software Is Live Again
You may of notice a come back later sign on the Project Management System. Well it's live again and ready for your use. We just preformed a routine software upgrade and some additional configuration, that's all.
Profile Updates Coming Soon:
Over the next week you'll see a few updates go live on the Profile software. The first update is member image galleries, similar to Facebook. Also I will be looking at and testing a few different configurations for making the profiles more visible. Right now only logged in members can see our user's profiles. I'm going to make profiles visible to everyone but each member will have the ability to customize who sees what on their profile. For example you can decide who can see your bio, location, image gallery and other person info. Options will include displaying data to non-registered visitors, registered members, friends, or admin only.
I will also be adding a few additional data fields so members can easily find people in their area and network. On the profile home page there will be a new look coming. One of the features will be a map showing how many Truth Alliance members are in your area. When you log in you'll instantly be able to see how many members are in your country, state and zip code. You can then friend those around you and communicate and/or form a group. There is an advanced profile search tool that is being added which will also allow you to search members and network with people who share your interests. An events calendar is coming but is further down the road. You'll be able to make your own events and display them on your profile. After testing the groups feature in the profile system for awhile now, it is just about ready for the community. All groups will get their own forum.
Our profile system is extremely flexible and we can add just about anything. So if you have any great ideas just post them in the brainstorming system under the category TruthAlliance.net.
