Woz: This is not my America
| CNET | Stopped by Spanish language tech journalists at an airport, the Apple co-founder says that after the NSA revelations, he questions his own government and wonders whether it's behaving like a king. A concerned citizen. As the passions and justifications swirl around the revelations concerning the NSA, the rest of the world sits and wonders. Is only the U.S. involved? Or might, perhaps, every government on Earth be rather keen to use all technological methods to protect its interests?

Syrian jets hit rebels awaiting promised U.S. weapons
| Reuters | Syrian artillery and warplanes pounded rebel areas in Damascus on Saturday as President Bashar al-Assad's foes pleaded for advanced weapons from the United States, which has promised them unspecified military aid. Western powers have been reluctant in the past to arm Syrian insurgents, let alone give them sophisticated anti-aircraft missiles that might fall into the hands of Sunni insurgents in rebel ranks who have pledged loyalty to Al-Qaeda.

Former Tea Party Governor Makes Possession of Bong a Felony
| Infowars.com | Own a water pipe? In Florida, you’ll go to prison for five years. It’s another sign that the Tea Party meme is an excuse to institute more statist coercion. Florida Governor Rick Scott has signed legislation that will make possession of a pipe a third degree felony beginning July 1. A third degree felony in Florida could result in a five year prison term, a loss of the right to vote (for career politicos like Scott), and a lifelong criminal stigma.

We DO Have Some Problems Here
| ChuckBaldwinLive.com | Breitbart.com recently carried a report saying, “During his speech in San Jose, California on Friday, President Obama took one question from the press on national security monitoring of Americans. Without any sense of irony whatsoever in the aftermath of the IRS’ targeting of conservatives, the administration’s stonewalling on Benghazi, the Department of Justice’s targeting of reporters, the Department of Health and Human Services’ leveraging of private organizations for Obamacare public relations cash, and the Environmental Protection Agency’s secret email addresses, Obama unloaded this line:

| Truth Alliance | The NSA claims they need to data-mine and record all of the American public communications to prevent terrorists attacks, but history and the experience of real whistle-blowers tells us otherwise. Today writing on Facebook, Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer famed Abel Danger whistle-blower who testified to congress that his group in the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) had identified 3 out of the 4 9/11 Hijackers cells before the attacks occurred did not rely on NSA techniques to identify the most deadly terrorists in our nations history. In fact he went on to explain that having identified the hijacker cells it was our own Pentagon that stepped in and prevented their group from turning over their information to the FBI and taking out the cells before the attacks in 2000 because of the "Gorelick memo".
