[This tutorial applies to select workgroup members only]
Some workgroup members may have video footage that is to be included in various projects. The easiest way to upload your video to our video editors is through an FTP program. Depending on the video quality requirements, if your video is to be used for a short YouTube video you can convert it to .mov or .avi or other compressed formats. If the video is for DVD quality then please keep it at a low compression rate or raw video.
First download and install an FTP program. We recommend FileZilla which is free and can be used on Windows and Mac systems. you can download it here: filezilla-project.org/download.php
Settings
Once you have the program installed, open it up and click the button in the top left corner highlighted in yellow in the image below.
That will open up the box to add a new FTP site to connect to. Enter in the Host address: ftp.truthalliance.net
Now change the LogonType to Normal
Enter in the Username and Password, this information will be provided to you by a Truth alliance administrator and will expire after a few of days.
Once this information is entered in, press connect.

Now the file window on the left is your computer, the file window on the right is the Truth Alliance server. Browse to the files on your computer on the left side and then you can just drag and drop them into the window on the right side. You will then see the files begin to transfer and a progress bar will show the status of the transfer.
All files are transfered to a secure location on our server and are not available to the public. If you have any questions about the process or need help please feel free to post in the workgroup private forums or ask an administrator.
Thank you for your participation,
