I have talked to jello biafra's people, and they seem like they are gonna go for it, providing I show them what the budget is. with that aside, they seem intrested in the event. I also got someone else on board it looks like for this event as well. his name is seth walker. got ahold of his manager, and she tells me that he is defenitly intrested in this, just get ahlod of them when the event is official and booked. seems the same with biafra's people, on that end anyway. so that takes care of stage one! (might try and add one more person...mybe alex would be interested at speaking for like an hour. hmmmm)

stage 2: fund raising, fund raising, fundraising!! I am commig up with a couple of ideas for the fundraising, though due to my lack of exp, I am asking you guys to help me come up with ways of making the money. ( I would say just donate to the cause, but I don't have that set up yet)

what this portion is going to need desperatly, is workers. mainly "net" workers. when this event happens I/we have a couple of goals in mind as to how to hock this to the public.

1.gonna do like dreamscape and countless others did before me, and just put 20 minute segments of the show in order, from beginning to end. that way, people can see the show for free, more or less.

2. of course there will be a dvd, later, and of course we will try and sell it. but that is not the purpose of said event. the dvd is just a bonus, as I have always wanted to do something with my name on some sort of media format. (just so I can boost my own personal resume)

oh btw, on that note, anyone that helps me with filming or anything that has to do with putting the content out there, gets credit on the dvd, if the dvd really happens. so of course you will be able to put that on your own personal resume as well.

and I suppose this will lead to stage 3: advertisements!!

I'm thinking oldschool punk for this and just posting flyers everywhere. also houston press does not seem to mind hocking free events, so we shall see. maybe we can get houston news channels in on this action as well.

anyways, this is all the plan, thus far. it is in the final planning stages, now we need to make this a reality. I of course do not expect an immediate response as the DNC is a priority, and as it should be.

let's let this idea sink in your head, and we shall take it from there. my own philosophy is this,(and I will use this when I run for president in the future, lol)  this can be done, this shall be done, this will be done.

there's no reason why this cannot happen. we fail if this doesn't happen because this will trigger alot of other events, bigger events in houston and eventually in texas as well. the goal is to get this done before novemer 4th.  so comments, suggestions? of course I am open to them.

Awesome Moe!  And in reallity where you are is in the Final Planning Stages of The ~Creative Thinking Mode~

Here are some suggestions: Get yourself a Binder; at least a 3 or 4" as you will need the room as the project grows,  looseleaf paper, dividers with label tabs,  a pack of diferent colored highlighters,  a pack of ERASABLE pens and a 3 hole paper punch.  In the beginning I used 5 sectioned spiral notetbooks; however, this became very limited as I could not add what I was printing off the Internet to my notebook.  Luckly, it is the school season and these items can be found easilly and cheaply.  As a matter of fact, this is the time of year when I hit up the Dollar Stores and re-stock my supplies for the entire year, as I do so much research and it all goes into binders in this manner.

Put about 50 pieces of paper into your binder, divide those off with your tabbed dividers and start marking your tabs.

You will have to develope your own system, as only You know how your Thought process works and what is best for you.  This is just a suggestion of how you could move your ~DOCUMENT EVERYTHING~ Process as You WILL need it for quick reference and for when the Madness and Chaos hits;  you will have time, dates, conversations, all your thoughts and plans, and other important bits of info recorded for gathering your thoughts quickly.  There will come the time when there are so many irons in the fire;   time has become a serious issue;  you find yourself having to move everything in one giant shove (without a shovel) into place within The Master Plan!

The last section in all my Binders is called Murphy's Law~Plan B!  This is where I write all the ~What IF SagasI  What if this person I am so depending on Flakes, then WHAT?  What happens if the PA Amp blows, I best have a back-up there.  Better load a generator as well...etc, etc, etc.  This modelity of Thinking can sometimes SAVE Your ARSE and the Event from an un-Forseen Disaster.  I believe it is called;  Better SAFE Than SORRY.

I have found that Event Planning is like starting a New Business.  In the beginning it begins with a great thought.  Then the passion moves in; we get excited and start moving and shaking everything around us.  There is much to be learned from time invested.  Usually what happens (In my experience it is certainly true) is 2 or 3 years into the ~Struggle~ you finally set yourself down, chill out and Write a Business Plan and a Financial Performa!  You take ~Hindsight is 20/20~ into Factor and you end up re-Structuring EVERYTHING.  Even the best laid 5 year Business Plan is re-Vised (Vision) every year!

Now, back to The Binder (Business Plan)  You first section could be called ~Creative Thought~  The reason you have Loose Leaf paper and erasable pens is because ideas will flow like White Water over The Rapids!   Set up a good filing sytem on your computer as well.  As time moves and things re-Define, move your hand written notes into text files, print,  punch holes and place in your binder

Thoughts are ENERGY ....and.....ENERGY BEGATS ENERGY!  Move with the Flow and in EVEN FLOW.  What  ~FEELS~ like it is To Be, may Change as Things progress.  Allow things to Change if Needed.  Trying to Force the ~Square Peg into the Round Hole ~ will just bring wasted Energy and Time Lost.

Now I know you are Thinking how do I get the Money for this Event?...got to do that First!  Gotta Move.... I suggest You make the second Section in your Binder ~Fundraising Concepts~  You will find that Some of these sections in your Master Plan will become Binders (or Sectional Notebooks) Themselves.  This is one such Section.  Yes, You will need to raise Money, but you will not know How Much until you get The Financial Performa Completed.

Another Thing Moe is TIME Restraint.  You mentioned you wish this Event to fall into place before November.  You have contacted a BIG TICKET ARTIST here.   What they are saying when they ask What is Your Budget? Is this;...How much do you have in your budget for Enterainment, and we will see if we can add you to his tour schedule for that amount.  In other words;  How much will you pay us?

Now I could be wrong here.  Did you get a conformation that they would perform for free?  If not, I would suggest that you contact them again.  Confirm what THEIR Budget is, and ask if there is a way that they could add Houston to their tour Schedule as a Free performance and how long would they be willing to play?.  1 Set?...that is usually 45 minutes.  Most High Ticket performers will do this if there is a PA available, set-up and ready for their use.  And they will give specs on their requirements for the PA set-up.  They may Blow your mind and volunteer to do the entire venue for free and bring Their Crew and equipment!  And until you get these things confirmed, you will not know what your Entertainerment budget is, and you can not even begin to put your financial permorma together.  until you know this.  Your Fundraisers will have to move when you know,  how much you need to raise.

Now, another issue to consider here.  when you contact them;  Who is your Support System?  Who are You with?  There is Force in Numbers.  This is where The Alliance comes in Moe.  There is a We Are Change South Texas.  If you have a Local Organization there that you are moving with already; Awesome.  If not, then you really should look into that before you move any futher.  If I were you, this would be my next step.  To contact We Are Change South Texas and to get a ticket filled out here on The Alliance Site so those here can move to help you with the Event.

oh no I don't know if they said free yet. jello's the guy I need to worry about paying first, seth is a good buddie of mine in houston, so If I toss him a doob and some good exposure, he will most likley do it for whatever, hes an actual artist, not that riaa stuff. as for the rest, I am gonna re-read everythng. damn, I thought that I was organized, you just kicked the proverbial legs of organization out from under me, lol! oi, this is gonna take some time but the updates will be continuous.

Well, that goes in your binder in the ~Entertainment Section~  Even though this is a personal connection;   I would still document the time, date and conversations for future reference.  Seth's section in your ~Event Journal~ will grow.   As you two discuss his ~Hopes-Dreams & Wishes~ for what he would like to see happen with the Event begin;   that ~White Water over The Rapids~ Energy will bust loose Everywhere.  Write it Down!..... 

Kewlness...as soon as you get something solid down on the computer ..start a thread here and cut and paste your notes so we can get our ~Union of Brainwave~ clicking.  This will allow Hawk and Raven to see what you are planning as well.    I will work with Hawk to get your ticket moving ASAP from here.  This will be my first ticket as well,  so I am getting him to walk us through this.  I think it is you that will actually do the ticket, lets wait for his feedback here and see what the procedure is.  I have explored the ticket area on the site, looks pretty simple, but would still like us 3 to move in Union on this. 

Also, have you filled out one of the ~Skill Sheets~ yet?  Check out the ~Studio, Workshop and Archive~ section of the website, do the skillsheet and get yourself signed on for whatever area you want to Teamwork with.  I signed up for the Workshop and Studio Team.  I am about to sign up for Archive as well, as I want to get involved in the News Team here.  You should hit that one too since you have a bit of old Video experience.  

Yeah seriously let us know how we can help, it is time we really get this site moving. We have been slacking simply because it is a monstrous and daunting task to think we can organize campaigns and initiatives against the NWO in our spare time LOL, but we don't really have much of a choice here otherwise.

We really need people with organizational skill sets to step up and take on projects and see them to completion, being web people that is what we lack. At the same token we need to have a discussion as to what the best possible projects and use of our limited time and resources are.

OK...It will be awhile before we hear from Moe, He is in Evac from Houston right now.  Every one remember to hold him up in your thoughts for a safe exit and return.

Correction: I thought Moe was going to evac, he did not.   He chose to ~Ride the Storm Out~  I spoke with him shortly after Ike bombed through Houston.  Even though his roof is now in his living room, he is safe and pulling things back together.  He should have lots of war stories to tell when he is able to get back online.  Hoping that is soon. 

Wow we should all say a short prayer for the folks down there, talk about devistating. I really hope Moe will be back with us shortly!

Spoke to Moe late last night.  His Apartment complex has moved him into a new unit elsewhere that has power and Water, so he is in much better conditions now.  Hopefully,   FEMA   ~Fix Everything My Arse~    will get their chit together and get some supplies into the Houston area soon so they can replenish their rations.
